Sports injuries come in many shapes and forms ranging from messy broken limbs to tennis elbow, minor muscle strains and postural stress from sitting at a desk all day.
In 2011 I helped Nikki Davis (team GB) to prepare for the Triathalon world championship in Spain. She achieved eighth place in a field of 20 with an injury free lead-up to the event and I will be helping her to prepare for further events in the future. I am proud to have the pinnacle-fitness logo and website printed on Nikki's "Team GB" strip as a sponsor.
My work covers muscular problems, joint problems, tendon and ligament issues as well as minor stress fractures to limbs. I also recommend regular sports massage for athletes and sporty people as it improves performance and prevents tightness and injury.
What I can do for you is to try and work out the cause of the problem, treat the discomfort at the time, impliment ways to prevent it from reoccuring and help with the recovery and rehabilitation to former fitness levels.
Some examples include:
Rehabilitation after traffic accidents, whiplash injury to muscles, body alignment and posture, pre/post natal conditions, joint and muscle pain, marathon training, football, cricket, golf and any sporting performance, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, lower back pain, aching knees and feet. The list goes on.
I would thoroughly recommend Jez as a sports massage therapist and would trust information and advice given by him in any aspect of my running and training programme. Jez was recommended by a mutual friend about sixteen months ago when my running companion developed a sports related injury. Jez impressed us immediately with his insight into the potential causes and solutions to the pain my friend was experiencing.Jez has contributed to my running through his practical advice on training, nutrition, potential events, leg massages on an approximately fortnightly basis and by his confidence in me that I could participate in any race I fancy; as a fairly new runner having lost alot of weight I find this inspirational.
Gillian Cox (Post-operative therapy)
Jez trains me regularly and after my knee replacement he made a special programme for rehabilitating and strengthening the leg. I made a quick recovery and am now able to walk fast, without pain, ride my bike and have just returned from a successful ski trip. All thanks to Jez's expertise.

Jez combines a professional approach with a manner that makes you feel comfortable. His background and experience mean that he is able to take into account your exercise routing and your fitness goals. He is methodical in his approach to treatment, but at the same time he takes care to listen to what you have to say about your condition. I have found his treatments really helpful to me and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a sports massage therapist.
My son Tom was involved in a serious RTA where the lower part of his left leg was crushed involving a compound fracture of the shin. Jez came to the house at first when Tom was convalescing and worked on keeping the scars flexible and then helped Tom at the gym to regain mobility, balance and confidence. His expertise was key in Tom's recovery
